Gangsters using walkie-talkies

The law enforcement agencies are facing difficulties in laying hands on the criminals associated with the gang war since the latter possess sophisticated and lethal weapons as well as using modern technology.   Besides, they have been taking full advantage of narrow lanes and have established trenches in buildings situated near Aath Chowk, Sheedi Village Road and other areas.SP Aslam, confirming the use of walkie-talkie sets by gangsters, said that he was surprised to recover two walkie-talkie sets on the alleged gangster, Saqib, following his death in the Sunday morning encounter.   He said the gangsters were using the walkie-talkie sets to pass on information about any police raids to their companions, which enabled them to escape arrest.He said Saqib hailed from Waziristan and was also wanted by the Waziristan police in four cases related to terrorism. He was imprisoned in Karachi a few years ago in major crimes, including murder cases.
